Testimony by Sis Evonne Tee

Thank God for blessing us with a wonderful and fruitful trip in Myanmar. It's great to be able to be used by the Lord and do things for Him even though we are small and limited beings.

Personally it's my 1st medical mission trip abroad. And I must testify that this trip has been a great eye opener for me and a most wonderful experience. I thank God for calling me to join you all in this trip. Actually, I hesitated to go initially because of some personal change of plans in my life. But the Holy Spirit convicted me to go for this trip so that I can learn and gain some experience abroad. It's really amazing seeing the many people who came and joined in our activities. Our God is indeed a great God and His love reaches to various people. I am thankful for the patients whom we met and attended to. Beneath their physical ailments, I see their need for the Lord in their lives and it's my prayer that they will come to the saving grace and knowledge of the Lord someday. It's also very amazing seeing so many children. They live in poverty, and many of them do not have a school education. It's really quite sad to see the state these children are in. But I thank God they have a chance to come to church and attend Sunday School. It's very encouraging to hear them sing songs of praise to the Lord, the zeal and innocence they display. They don't even mind to be under the hot sun for their Sunday school. Pray that they will have a real and personal relationship with the Lord as they grow up. Thank God too for the people He called to serve Him in the church. I know the work is not easy. But these brothers and sisters (young and old) are so zealous to do the Lord's work. I am deeply encouraged by their faith and persistent dependence on the Lord. Out of this trip, the thing that touched me most was the house visit we made to the various house churches. I went to Pastor Peter's house church with Bro Richard and Sis Joyce. It was just a small house. When we arrived, everyone was quietly seated down, waiting for us. It was small and cramped but nobody complained. We had worship, sang some songs. They even presented us with a English song - "Give thanks". My heart melted to hear this group of brothers and sisters singing and praising the Lord with whatever they have/know. I shared with them from Eph 1:3-6,reminding them (and myself) that God chose them and saved them through Christ because He loves them. And God has blessed us with every spiritual blessings to do His work for Him. The people listened, I hope they understand and are encouraged to press on for the Lord.

All in all, this trip has been most pleasant and enjoyable for me. There were many blessings from the Lord and thanksgivings to God for He is most wise and personal. He knows our needs and helps us in our weaknesses. Thank God for the special treat we had on the last day before we flew back to Singapore. The visit to the bakery factory was nice and enjoyable and it was indeed a special treat for us. Thank God too for the group of brothers and sisters I went along with. Though I don't know anyone of you personally (before the trip), you all have been very nice and friendly to me. You all have been an encouragement to me and I thank God for His work in your lives. May we all continue to press on for the Lord. Thank God for His good work in our lives.

This trip was organized by Grace Methodist Church.
