"MAN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY AND
NOT TO FAINT"
(LUKE 18 : 1)

Much planning with little prayer will yield little or no result. The evangelism committee can plan meticulously and brain storm the task to do in outreach activities. The building committee can come together and brain storm the way to go about the task to expand the church etc.But if all things are done with little or no prayer at all, it will yield so little fruits. "Man ought always to pray" says the Lord Jesus Christ to all of us.

Leaders and members must come to pray. The church must be in earnest prayer if we want to see the Lord bless our ministries. We can be so busy in the world, but if we neglect prayer, we do not have the power to serve Him well and to survive.

We all know that prayer is important, but it is usually a mental and theoretical knowledge. Who does not believe that this is an important part of the Lord's work? If we truly know that this is a vital thing to do, we need to do so always as Luke 18: 1 says. We will make every effort to come and pray together. We have to spend more time in prayer in the committee meetings too.

Brethren, we are not people of prayer in our church! Prayer is hard work! Prayer requires a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Prayer is holiness in our relationship with Jesus. One of the reasons why we don't pray much is because we are not really close to the Lord. We claim to be close to Him but we are not really intimate in our relationship with God.

I am burdened to write this short article to encourage all of us that we work hard in our prayer life. Everything we do we must pray by setting aside time each day to pray for the ministry, for pastor and the church leaders and for the people. If we neglect to pray as Jesus tells us to do so, we will only see so little blessings and the results of our work will always be insignificant.

"Man ought always to pray."
