SPECIAL CHILDREN'S MEETING
16TH MARCH 2010

"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

The one week March break was a really short break but thank God for sis Gim Choon's desire to take every opportunity to open her house to reach out to children. The children that we wanted to reach out to this time were really children who had been attending our VBS regularly. We originally planned to have the meeting on a Monday, 15th March 2010. However, a Gracian who was able to serve in the area of fetching children as well as in the area of counselling was only able to come on the 16th of March. So we changed the date of the meeting to the 16th of March.

When we were told that a number of them could not make it, we were quite prepared to have no one come at all. We however thought that it would be good to still trust God, keep to our plan and prepare for the special meeting still as efforts had been made slightly more than a week earlier to distribute the invites for this meeting. Furthermore, Gracians had also been praying for this outreach at our Wednesday prayer meetings.

On the day of the Special Children's meeting itself, 3 turned up! Two were relatives of our own church members. One had never attended any of the meetings previously conducted by Grace Bible -Presbyterian and the special meeting held on the 16th of March was probably the first time she had really heard about Jesus. She was in fact very open to finding out a bit more about Jesus and sis Lee Yong took the opportunity to share in more detail about God's love for her.
We really thank God for the opportunity we had to share about God's love and forgiveness to these little ones that day. Please pray that the truth shared will in God's own time be a blessing to them.
