Let Us Make Man

And God said, Let us make man in our image.
Genesis 1: 26

The sun was shining brightly, the wind moving softly through the treetops. The birds were raising their songs to heaven and everything was very good, for it was created by God. But there was no creature who thanked God for all these wonders and who would talk about His creation.

That is why God said, "Let us make man in our own image." God made Adam out of the dust of the earth. As a child of God, Adam could walk over the earth and rule the animals, the fish and the birds. In all this, Adam resembled God and did as God wanted him to. It was all very good!

In the beginning, God make a human being like you and me, a person in His own image. Isn't this wonderful? It means that every person, including you, has been created for eternity. God gave you a soul and you are able to communicate with Him. Now you can live a life devoted to Him.

Adam was obedient to God.

Are you?
