PARADISE

"And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden".
Genesis 2 : 15

The earth was beautiful and good wherever you went, but the Garden of Eden stood out from everything else. Just think: a garden for Adam to live in. A lovely river wound its way through the garden where a rich diversity of plants and trees grew. It really was Paradise!

The Lord God designated two trees as very special: the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam could eat all the fruit he wanted except the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. He would surely die if he ate from that tree. God gave this test to the human race to see if they would be obedient.

How wonderful it was in Paradise-no pain, no anger, and no sorrow. But above all, God conversed with Adam just like a father does with his child. The Lord was good and kind. Would you not want to obey this God?

Some find keeping God's commandments a hard task.
What do you think of the commandment
God gave to Adam?
