REPORT FOR EVANGELISM EVENT
HELD AT SETTLER'S CAFE
ON 18TH JUNE 2010

We thank God for making the Gospel real in our lives, and giving us the opporunity to serve Him through bringing the Gospel to our friends and family. In the period of planning and executing the event, it was a learning process for those who were in the committee to learn to trust God, and to seek His leading through the process of serving Him.

The evangelism committee collaborated with the young adults cell group to plan a Gospel sharing opportunity for Gracians. The decision was made to hold the event in Settler's Cafe. Settler's is well known for its wide range of board games. They were able to provide a package comprising of dinner, board games and a free flow of snacks and drinks at a reasonable price.

The event program included dinner and board games time, mass games, a song presentation by Daniel Tan and Tabitha (Life BP Church), the screening of the movie 'MOST' and the Gospel sharing by Joanna Hor. The event was wrapped up with sharing and Q&A at the individual tables by Gracians.

The event saw 48 persons attend the event, 21 of whom were friends of Gracians. Of this 21 persons, 8 are already Christians. One person responded willingly to receive Jesus Christ as his Saviour, while 11 responded 'Maybe'. 1 person did not want to receive Christ. We pray that the Spirit will work in their lives in various ways, to respond to the Gospel in His timing and His will. We have to thank God for working in their lives to be willing to attend the event and be in a position to receive God's grace.

Follow up work will be done between those who have brought their friends/family to the event. The young adults cell group will be playing the role of making each other accountable for follow up and pray for our friends/family whom we have brought. The cell group will also be handling discussion topics about how Christians should respond to some of the tough questions our friends ask.

We pray God continue to use us to be examples in living, and through sharing our faith to those whom He places around us.

On behalf of the planning committee,
Bro. James Tan
