"Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations"
Matthew 28:19
What is Evangelism Explosion
(EE)?
- EE is not a program but EE is equipping
believers how to share the Gospel by providing skills of witnessing
as a way of life.
- EE has been proven, developed, tried,
refined, and revised over a period of more than fifty years.
- EE has been planted in all nations
of the world. Hundred of thousands of believers have been equipped,
and literally millions have been won to Christ.
- EE is an effective and down to earth
approach in a manner that is tactful, non-threatening, easy
to understand, and hard to forget.
Dr. D. James Kennedy - Pastor
of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, Florida,
founded EE in 1962 and he discovered that lay people are the key
to reach the world for Christ.
The Apostle Paul likens a Christian life to that of a race (I
Cor. 9:24; 2 Tim. 4:7; Heb. 12:1). The race is personal and one
is taught how to run and pass on the baton. EE is built on this
passion for equipping and multiplying Christians to run the race.
The success of our race depends on the direction of our eyes upon
that goal. EE has been implemented in our church since 1990s.
No doubt, there are obstacles along our way. We must press on
and lay aside all the weights that may hinder. We must train regularly.
We must exercise daily as we read the Word, pray and share Jesus
Christ with others.
Upcoming Events:
- EE Training will be conducted in our
church on April 30 (Fri. 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm) and May 1st (Sat.
9:00 am to 5:00 pm. OJT at 5 pm to 7 pm). The goal is to equip
trainees for witnessing as a way of life to people in the natural
context of their daily experience. The heart of EE is OJT (On-The-Job
Training), and all of our OJT is preparation for a lifestyle
of witnessing as a way of life. After one-and-a-half day of
training you are required to share gospel with ten people and
then write your progress on the Record Book of Prayer. You are
encouraged to do this task within two months.
- EE Trainer-Training schedule on March
5 (Fri. 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm) and March 6 (Sat. 9:00 am to 5:00
pm. OJT at 5 pm to 7 pm). The goal is to pass down your skills
in sharing the Gospel to one generation after another. "It
is better to teach a person to fish than to just give him a
fish."
- EE Teacher-Trainer-Training (KIV).
Getting involved in doing the work of evangelism and at the
same time training somebody else. It is much more effective
in reaching everybody. The result of EE is confidence and ever
ready to share your faith.
We glorify God by bearing
fruit (John 15:8, 16). "It is better to plant apple trees
than to just pick apples." Picking apples, like witnessing,
simply adds fruit. Planting apple trees, like training witnesses,
multiplies fruit. In light of multiplying witnesses, why do you
think it is important to identify people who will be faithful,
available, and teachable?
And He said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with
all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the great and first commandment." Matt. 22:37-38
