What
if the waiter gives me a kid's meal free
because he thinks I'm younger than I really am?
"Wherefore putting away lying,
speak every man truth
with his neighbour: for we are members one of another".
Ephesians 5 : 25
It is important to do what
is right, even if it costs you money. So if you get a children's
price for a meal or a ticket and you are older than a "child",
you should tell the truth. Tell the waiter, waitress, ticket seller
or whoever is in charge how old you really are. You can't put
a price on honesty.
Remember that God is looking after you. He will meet all your
needs and take good care of you if you do things his way. God's
way is to be honest. It shows that you trust Him.
ACTIVITY
Do a role play with a friend or brother or sister. Let one play
the part of a child who's older than the usual kid's meal age.
The other one can be a waiter or waitress. Then switch roles.
What will you do? It's nice to save money, but don't forget that
God values honesty above money.
