How much do investments cost?

"For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?"
Luke 14 : 28

An investment is something you buy so you can sell it later at a higher price. Investments, like stocks, have all different prices. Some cost more than others. Most investments cost more than children can pay. That's why most kids have their money in bank savings accounts, not in stocks or other investments like that.

Some people say you can get rich quickly or easily by buying their investment. The Bible warns you to stay away from those kinds of tricks. God's plan is that you trust Him and that you grow your money bit by bit. Greed causes us to listen to get-rich-quick ideas because we want more quickly. But trying to do it this way usually results in a loss, not a gain. Trust God & his way to grow your money.

ACTIVITY
Because your savings account is probably your main investment right now, take a closer at it. Exactly how is your money growing? It earns interest-extra money that the bank puts in your account for letting them take care of your money. Find out from your mom or dad what interest rate you are earning & figure out together how much money you can earn in a year.
