What
is Xee?
Xee is an entirely fresh,
innovative and exciting new product of the Evangelism Explosion
equipping ministry. It was primarily designed to reach those of
Generation X and younger, Generation X'ers being roughly in the
age group of 25 - 40. However, Xee has also been found to be preferred
and enjoyed by other generations as well. Through Xee, believers
can be equipped to step out of their comfort zone, find common
ground with their peers, and share the Gospel clearly and effectively.
Xee aims to not only serve as a tool for witnessing, but to also
bring about a life change of making witnessing a way-of-life,
and to train others to do so. Xee is very relational in its teaching
and learning, and in its approach towards unbelievers. It makes
witnessing not only unthreatening, but even enjoyable and something
to look forward to.
Highlights
Ø SIMPLE PRESENTATION
The Gospel Presentation is simple, discussion-oriented and "story-driven".
It is presented in a very casual manner with room for discussion,
which creates an openness in the listener. Each gospel point is
shared with an illustration to build interest and to bring the
point across clearer.
Ø HIGHLY INTERACTIVE
Xee is not taught in a lecture format, but is highly interactive
throughout its training, which comprises of DVD viewing, small
group discussions and role-plays. Many people enjoy dialoguing
through issues and ideas and putting concepts into their own words,
as sharing them with others help them learn better.
Ø EASY PREPARATION
As the primary material and training are presented in DVD form,
not much preparation is required. The leaders will serve as "facilitators"
using the DVD as their guide.
Ø ON-THE-JOB TRAINING
Each class climaxes when the teams go out on actual witnessing
calls, which we call Connect Activities, under the guidance of
a trainer. Trainers not only serve as role-models for their trainees,
but also provide guidance and safety net for the trainees so that
they may become more and more confident each time they share.
Jesus' expectation of His followers was that they would seek to
connect with those around them, and He modeled for them how to
do that. Firstly, He approached and connected with people. Then,
He took those people with Him so that they could learn from Him.
And finally, as modeled in Luke 10, He sent them out to do what
HE had shown them. This is the essence of the Connect Activity.
