Evangelism Equipping

C.T. Studd says:
"I cannot tell you what joy it gave me to bring the first soul to the Lord Jesus Christ. I have tasted almost all the pleasures that this world can give. I do not suppose there is one that I have not experienced, but I can tell you that those pleasures were as nothing compared to the joy that the saving of that one soul gave me."

Have you won a lost soul to Jesus Christ since you became a Christian? How long have you been a Christian? Can you share the Gospel confidently with a non-Christian?

There are so many people in the church who have not won a soul to Christ. They always say they are not trained or equipped to do so. Or they are so frightened to tell someone about Jesus. Some do not have a passion for the lost. They don't care if the non-Christians leave this world and end up in a Christless eternity. Soul-winning is the least important task for such believers. I wonder if these people are truly Christians in the first place!

Soul-winning or evangelism is not a popular work in the church. Very few people will get involved in this ministry, and do not want to be equipped to do it. C. H. Spurgeon said: "He who never seeks the conversion of another is in imminent danger of being damned himself". This is a frightening thought. Witnessing for Jesus must be a part of our Christian life. We must obey the Great Commission of our Lord (Matthew 28: 18-20; Mark 16: 15).

Come and be equipped to be a witness for Jesus. Join the Evangelism Equipping (EE) training session from 30 April to 2 May in Church. If our Church is filled with trained people to evangelise in the work place, home, school, military camp, etc., no sooner will you see Grace Church exploding in number and non-Christians being saved and baptized. Will you do your part to be God's witnesses (Acts 1 : 8)?
