Shelter Home

Dear Rev Tan,

Recently, two children joined us at Shelter Home. One of them is Agustina (Amei), 13 years old, who was an orphan. One non-Christian family took her since she was a baby. But because they have to work, they put Amei in a wooden box till she was 13 years old. Amei can't speak, can't feed by herself, and can't bathe by herself. She can walk, and understand when we talk to her. On Thursday, 3 September, we brought her to Shelter Home. Actually, they wanted to leave Amei last year. But no body wants her.

We are planning to send Amei for therapy in Malang (East Java). When she recovers we will bring her to our Shelter Home.

Another kid is Santana who is 15 years old. He comes from a broken home. We plan to support his studies.
At present, we have 10 children in our Shelter Home. We are planning to build a children's dormitory.
