Why doesn't God just give us money
when we need it?

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts"
Isaiah 55 : 8-9

God does give us money when we need it. He always meets our needs. But He usually does it through jobs, people and other means.
There is a difference between need and want. People often want a lot of things that they don't really need. All of us would have a better understanding of what real needs are if we lived in a land where no one received anything but the basic needs of food, clothes and a home.
God wants you to work, to use well what he's already given to you and to be responsible. The needs in your life help you learn these skills. For example, God may want you to use something that you already have, to make something, or to do without something. God isn't being mean-he's being your loving heavenly Father.

ACTIVITY
Can you remember what was on your wish list for the past few Christmases & birthdays? Did you receive all of the things? Probably not. Did you miss the things you didn't get? Again, probably not. If you are thankful and content that God gives you what you need, you'll find that He also gives you some things you only want.
