FILADELFIA MINISTRY
11 October, 2009

Praise the Lord for last Sunday's ministry in Filadelfia, Batam. There were nine of us in this trip. I praise the Lord for a good and blessed worship service with the brethren. The church was full. Sis. Roska was my interpreter (a pleasant surprise). I got her to sing for the congregation a famous song which the late Rev. Timothy Tow composed and she put it to music. That song was "O Yerusalem" which I will be teaching at the prayer meeting (missions) on 28 October.

The highlight of the trip was the ground breaking of the kindergarten and the extension of Shelter Home. The church members came in full force and we had a blessed service. Later on, each of us took a pair of bricks and placed them on the land for the construction of the kindergarten. It was a symbol of unity in service for the Lord in the extension of His work.

Brethren, pray for them as they embark on this project. They are a determined people who have a zeal to extend the Lord's work. Thank God for their vision and courage to serve Him.

In six months' time, they hope to complete the building, God-willing. Next year we should be able to visit the new building of Shelter Home extension and the Kindergarten. We thank the Lord for this opportunity of being involved in their ministry.

Thank God for the gift from Gracians for this project. They are grateful for the love-gift and are greatly encouraged by it. Plan to come along with me in December for their Christmas program.
