Church Retreat
21-24 June, 2009

Praise the Lord for an excellent church retreat which comprised of 110 persons, out of which 17 were from the Mandarin Service. It is good to have Gracians coming together for such a spiritual retreat. Rev Jim Blumenstock did an excellent job of reminding us to be spiritually discerning people. Five great messages were recorded by Bro. John Tang, and they will be available in the Church website.

This year, Sis Hannah Yeo took the children's programme. The Mandarin retreat speaker was Rev David Wong from Kulai B-P Church. Rev Wong is no stranger to Grace Church as he was one of the pioneers to help in establishing the Grace Mandarin Service. He co-worked with the late Rev Lin Tah Mon.

The planning for the Church camp in 2010 has commenced. God-willing, we plan to have Professor William Harding as the camp speaker. In 2011, God-willing, we may have Rev Jim Blumenstock as the camp speaker.

I praise the Lord for a good and committed camp committee. All of them did their part to make this camp a blessed one for all campers.

Thank God for all the facilitators who did their part well in leading the discussions and morning devotions.

Thank God for the campers! You made an effort to attend this retreat. It is wonderful to see a large number of our people coming together for such an event. Let us all try to make it for the church camp in 2010.
