CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Outing on the 12th June

"O taste and see that the LORD is good" Psalm 34:8a

Thank God for answering prayers. The Outing that we had on the 12th of June was really an occasion where we saw God's marvelous hand in working out things for His good. Truly God oversaw the smooth running of the entire program. A good number of the 26 children, who turned up had previously attended Grace Bible-Presbyterian Church's Vacation Bible School as well as the Good News Club. We have also been encouraged by the fact that there were also new faces amongst the group. It was really heartening to see the children thoroughly enjoying themselves. Thank God for answering prayers of the church brethren for an excellent weather and safety of the children.

There were some problems before we reached Botanical Gardens. Due to some misunderstanding in arrangements, a child had been left behind in church. However, God miraculously arranged in His own special way for someone to be able to bring the child to the Botanical Gardens. Other problems include our lunch being switched by mistake and also the lunch delivery person not being able to find the correct location. However, God's sovereign grace ensured that the program would still be able to run on time!

Would like to also take the opportunity to thank our church members not only for praying but also for their great willingness to take time off their busy schedules to ferry children to and from church and to help in the outing program for games, song leading, story-telling and many other areas. Truly they have been a great blessing to the children at the outing. After the outing, I received an sms from a child saying that she and her other relatives really enjoyed themselves. May this be an encouragement to us to continue serving the Lord by reaching out to these children as often as possible. God is not willing that any of these little ones should perish. Please continue to pray for the proper follow-up of children from the Vacation Bible School and the Good News Club.
