ASIA SEMINARY FOR MINISTRY
Teaching in Vietnam
(10-18 July)

ASM is a ministry which was established by five of us pastors and a lay-leader three years ago. The main objective was to train pastors and full-time workers in third world countries. ASM teachers have been ministering to Nepal, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia and now to Vietnam. We have also conducted courses locally, using Life BPC premises.

The upcoming teaching ministry in Vietnam will be the first for ASM, as we will be heading for the highlands of Dalat to teach 32 full-time students who are preachers, evangelists and full-time ministers in the BTh programme. Another 15 church leaders and their members are planning to attend this course too.

The 5-day course (13-17 July) in Dalat will consist of "Discipleship" by Rev. S.F. Goh, "Doctrine of the Holy Spirit" by Pastor and "Communication" by Bro. Gilbert. We are also trying to raise some funds for the Vietnamese full-timers who are attending this course. Each costs S$90.00 per person. If you wish to help them, please see Pastor today.

This will be my second trip to Vietnam. I was in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) in 1974 when the Vietnam War was raging. I sailed with the "M/V Logos" up the Saigon River to the capital and we were there for three weeks ministering to the Vietnamese. It will be good to visit the country again. Most of the contacts, which I knew during the War, have left the country after the Communist took over.

There are many churches in Vietnam and this time, Rev. Goh and myself will be visiting a church in Ho Chi Minh City, where I will be speaking in the Worship Service on Sunday, 12 July.

On Monday, 13 July, we will leave for Dalat by air, spending 5 days teaching three courses a day to these people. Do pray for our safety, good health and for wisdom to teach God's people. Dalat is in the highlands, and the average temperature is 18C-21C. It will be my first visit to this place. Pray that we will have opportunity to share the Gospel to some lost souls.
