GRACE B-P CHURCH
33RD ANNIVERSARY

We are 33 years old today by the grace of God. By God's mercies, I have seen our members and friends maturing in their faith and love for the Lord. There is a stronger bond of love and care among Gracians and friends. Worshippers are giving bountifully to the Lord's work and various missions too. As your Pastor, it thrills my heart and encourages me to serve Him steadfastly.

As we enter our 34th year of service:

  1. Beware of false teachings that are filtering into the churches during these last days. The B-P Church has for the last six years battled a strange teaching call Verbal Plenary Preservation (VPP). This doctrine is being taught in the Far Eastern Bible College (FEBC) and a small number of B-P churches. It teaches that God has given the English speaking church only one Bible, namely, the King James Version (KJV), and that all other Bible versions are corrupt. Be warned of this teaching and do not let it enter into Grace Church because it will create enormous trouble and disunity. This teaching has resulted in three B-P Churches great internal strife and splits. Take note of the words of the apostle Peter in 2 Peter 2: 1-2.
  2. The growth of our Church requires the expansion/creation of space. In any of our combined services (Eng/Mand) we have the problem of accommodating every worshipper in the main Sanctuary. At times like these, we utilise the AV room for the worshippers. This will affect the children's program as they have to move up to the third floor room which is too small for a number of 20-25 children. Do pray that God will help us to solve this problem soon.
  3. Let us build ourselves up in God's precious Word (Jude 20). We must continually equip ourselves in studying the Bible. The learning process goes unabated as long as we have the breath and capacity to do so. I am thankful to the Lord for our Bible Class ministry. We have an excellent curriculum and a wide choice of Christian studies/Bible books for you to select. No one is too old to learn God's Word. We must strive to study the Scriptures daily and deeply as it is our roadmap to life.
  4. Persevere in our faith to the end (Matt. 22: 37). When we are in difficult situation or in the midst of trials, we need to get closer to God. As He promised in James 4 : 8 "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you". In good times, don't forget the Lord and give Him thanks. My heart's desire is that all Gracians and friends will grow in their love for the Lord, be zealous in serving Him, attend prayer meetings, have an ever-increasing desire to study God's Word, be caring towards one another and to show hospitality to everyone.

May the Lord bless Grace Church richly as we enter our 34th year of service.
