FILADELFIA MINISTRY
(13 December, 2009)

Last Sunday, 13 Dec was Filadelfia's Christmas Service. The Church was packed. A Baptism Service was held for nine children and three adults. It was heartening to see that a number of kids from Shelter Home were baptized too. Their care-givers represented as their "parents". Below is the photo of the candidates and their parents.

I am also thankful to the brethren who came with me to minister to the children. Sis Wendy Leow, Evonne, Rachel and Bro Chang Loong were all involved in the children's program. The children eagerly look forward for Sis Wendy to be with them. Sis Hannah, who is Ang Liang's daughter, interpreted for Sis Wendy. Praise the Lord for the burden these brethren have for the children in Filadelfia.

We also had the opportunity to visit Shelter Home after the Service. The extension of the Home is going according to plans. They are not building the Kindergarten yet until Shelter Home extension is built as the present home is full. You can see in the photo below that the foundation has been laid and the building should be completed sometime in February 2010. I will be there to dedicated the building. You may want to plan to come along for this joyous and auspicious occasion.
