EVANGELISM SEMINAR
ON AUGUST 10

It was indeed a good and blessed seminar! See what Bro Calvin Murty has written:

Dear Pastor,

Congratulations to Grace BP (esp. the organizing team) for a highly enjoyable, edifying and useful seminar. The topics were relevant, and the venues (i.e. the various rooms) were generally conducive and comfortable. It was also well organized and everything appeared to run very smoothly. The length was just right too.

I did have some points for improvement which I submitted via the feedback form, but on the whole, I just want to say that the event was excellent. My friend, Rajiv, felt the same way and could not help remarking how good the whole event was, especially for only $10 (with all the meals and materials). He said he would be telling his parents (in Laos) all about it when he called them later that night.

Please encourage the Evangelism Committee (and whoever else was involved) to keep it up. I am looking forward to the next one, which I hope would repeat some of the topics which we could not attend (since we could only go for 2).

Best regards,
Calvin

There were 168 people who attended the seminar. Rev (Dr) Paul Woods gave two relevant messages on "Missions", which reminded all Christians to share the Gospel far and wide. He has been a missionary in China and Thailand. He also preaches in fluent Mandarin.

The six workshops were well attended. Each of the speakers had the expertise in their respective field of ministry. We have good feedback that the workshops were relevant and appropriate and that they were greatly edified by them.

I want to thank the Lord for Bro. Gerald Pang and the missions committee for their diligence in planning and executing the event. Praise the Lord for many helpers who rendered their assistance. We extend a word of thanks, especially to Sis Jenny Hu from Shalom BPC, for her co-operation and logistic help. Thank God for Shalom B-P Church for the permission to use their premises.

Gracians, let us do the work of the Lord and not be side tracked by any issues that may divide the church. The KJV-Only issue is one of them which we must always be alert to. It has caused many B-P Churches internal strife and chaos and we pray that this will not happen in our Church. There are many trouble makers who are out to create havoc in the churches. Watch them and stay away from them.

Recently, I have been accused by a B-P Pastor (of the KJV-Only group) that I champion modern Bible versions and that Grace Church is using NKJV. I have ignored such people as they are out to create problems and divisions in our Church. Be on the alert!
